Penny PostcardsThis gallery consists mainly of "Penny Postcards". These postcards originally cost 1¢ to mail. Postage was temporarily raised to 2¢ from 1917 to 1919 to cover the cost of World War I & from 1925 to 1928 (not sure the reason for the latter). All of the cards shown on this site are in the hands of private collectors. They are shown for your enjoyment.
